Optos
The Optos ultra-widefield imaging system is captures a broad view of the retina — up to about 200° or roughly 80 % of the retinal surface in a single, non-invasive shot — far beyond what traditional cameras can show, allowing our Optometrists to see peripheral pathology that might otherwise be missed with standard imaging techniques.
This expansive field can facilitate earlier detection and more effective monitoring of retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, tears or detachments, and even signs of systemic conditions, enabling timelier intervention and better patient outcomes.
Optos Ultra-widefield images are acquired rapidly without the need for pupil dilation and can be reviewed immediately, making them quick and easy for patients!
