  • Can I see you regarding sore or red eyes?

    Yes. We have optometrists that specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of minor eye conditions including infection, inflammation and foreign body removal.  For more serious eye conditions we work closely with and refer to leading Ophthalmologists. 

  • Do you provide spectacles for Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card Holders?

    Yes. We have a wide range of spectacles that we can provide at no cost to Gold Card holders.

  • Do you participate in the Queensland Government Spectacle Supply Scheme for pension and concession card holders?

    Yes, we can help you apply for spectacles via the scheme.

  • What age should I get my vision checked?

    We have methods of testing the sight of infants and pre-school age.  Routine examination is recommended for children from prep age onward.

  • Can I claim my private health fund optical extras?

    Yes.  All health fund members with optical cover can electronically claim their full benefit at Fitzpatrick Family Optometrist.

  • Can you repair my glasses?

    We can do simple repairs on site and arrange for high quality repairs with our specialist team if required.
