Geoffrey Fitzpatrick

Geoffrey completed his studies at the then Queensland Institute of Technology and commenced private practice in optometry in 1972. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1984 and began work in Nambour, extending his care into Maroochydore and Kingaroy in subsequent years.

Geoffrey has a special interest in general optometry, contact lenses (including rigid contact lenses and Ortho-k) and keratoconus.

As a pilot himself, Geoffrey takes great pride and pleasure in his ability to regularly provide eye care to residents of rural Queensland. He is also a member of the Queensland Children’s Hospital Alignment Program as well as being a CASA-credentialed optometrist.

Kate McLennan

BVisSc MOptom

Kate completed her studies at QUT in Brisbane, graduating with a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry with Distinction in 2022. She is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, with a special interest in contact lenses, dry eye and myopia control. Kate also grew up in rural and regional towns throughout the NT and QLD, and as a result is passionate about rural health care. 

Kate joined the Fitzpatrick Family Optometrist Maroochydore team in 2023.  She values taking the time to provide comprehensive and personalised optometric care to her patients to ensure she addresses their individual needs and concerns.
